Countdown to the Last Few Days of Regular Employment

And why keeping track of days you have left keeps things in perspective, especially for difficult or very demanding jobs.

Today was my third to the last day of work. I’m both excited, worried about how my students will react to me not being there any more, concerned about our financial situation, and ready for some peace and semi quiet. My job is very loud, and requires a lot of emotional strength, so leaving that will add a lot of extra peace and more quiet.

There is so much that has to get done this week though. Part of me wants to just walk out and get going with the rest of my life, but I just can’t leave without fulfilling what I promised. Even though I REALLY want to.
