How do you retire in this day and age?

So, as a “millennial” with all the financial issues and job troubles and difficulties just making bills, how in the world are we to retire if we can’t even make our own month to month bills? I work at a daycare and have some savings built into each paycheck, but it won’t be close to enough to cover anything. My husband works hard, but barely makes over minimum wage. Jobs are scarce, education is basically impossible to get with the loss of income from working less due to class schedules. I invest what little I get in places like Robinhood.com, and Coinbase, but these just don’t seem to be getting enough traction to make it in the world I’ll be in when I am at retirement age. We don’t own a house, our car payments (only thing we could afford) are astronomical.

Writing doesn’t seem to be panning out, we’re dipping further into our limited savings options. It’s so frustrating! How in the world will I even have enough set aside when I turn 60. This really isn’t along the line of what I usually write, as I’m a very positive person, but these things eat at me constantly. How do you personally make it and how do you set aside savings? Any comments, suggestions, tips, or anything are greatly appreciated.
