I happen to disagree, especially if you have the skills mentioned later in this article. Using your talents has so many benefits to both intellectual development, self-fulfillment, and can help cut down on wasteful landfill use.

I have quite a few friends who refinish furniture as a second job or hobby and many have made quite a profit from it. Wood stain and paint can be purchased on sale and used for a lot of different pieces.
This can save you money and allows merchants to be able to get rid of their old products and not throw them out at a loss, which is such a waste.
