What Failure has taught me about Success
Having been involved with two MLM’s, writing for five blogs, and running online stores, and offering my services as a content writer, I have found a couple things that have happened. First, failure is okay. We spend so much emotional energy on worrying that it’s not going to go well or we get so excited that not getting what we want is devastating. How do I face failure in my own life?
First, failure is a part of life. We get so fixated on success that when we don’t get what we want, we get angry and refuse to allow the failure to determine our next action. This is so wrong, because we are human and we need to remember that non successes will teach us how not to do it next time. It should encourage us to try again, try something different, adjust our strategies, or learn how to fix whatever it is we have failed on. As a writer, I have had to focus on small achievements instead of becoming infuriated that I’m not getting what I want. Learning how to fix where you went wrong is key to creating success. A successful life is one where we take our mistakes as opportunities of self reflection and adjustment.
Another thing I’ve learned is the sheer amount of stuff I don’t know! We think we know everything until we have to actually start talking about it. I cannot think of how many different sources I’ve gone to to find information on what I’m trying to talk about. It’s crazy!
