What I want my Daughter to Know Without a Shade of Doubt
Dear Daughter,
I see you skipping to school with me, hair all ruffled, one of my dressy shirts on over yours, boots, and my necklaces and bracelets on. You’re so unique and special and shine with a wonderful spirit. There will come a time when people will try to darken that sparkle. Don’t let them! You’re you and have value to the world no matter what anyone is trying to tell you. Don’t let the bullies stomp your spirit out. Sing that song, give the lonely person in the room a hug, encourage participation and a spirit of inclusion to everyone. These types of people will change the world.
